ABC READ WITH ME: Story time recordings with Ms. Susan. Each recording focuses on a different letter of the alphabet. Crafts and coloring pages that correspond to each recording will be available on a table outside of the Children’s Department, which can be picked up by children or families when visiting the library during Browse by Appointment hours. Crafts/coloring pages available for each story time while supplies last.
Checkers Library TV!
Checkers Library TV consists of sixteen 30-minute episodes which feature Checkers the Inventor, his robot sidekick, Snoozer, and a variety of special visitors including medical professionals, community leaders, police and fire men and women, and other special guests. Each episode also includes segments featuring storytelling, author interviews, art projects, science experiments, interactive games, comedy, magic and exciting short films that will have children on the edge of their seats. An excellent STEM learning opportunity for preschool, kindergarten and first graders.

Scrumping is a term, perhaps known to our local forage and feast community, for locating and harvesting wild apples to make cider. Al presents this series on activities throughout the season from identifying wild trees and orchards in various seasonal stages, caring for a neglected tree or orchard to ensure a harvest, and identifying the best fruit to harvest for cider.
